Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the latest amendment to Art. 142(2) of the Bulgarian Civil Procedure Code (in force since 2 February 2023) from the perspective of the right to counsel as a right guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria. In this context, Art. 139 of the Code of Administrative Procedure is also analyzed. As a result, a de lege ferenda proposal is made for some changes to Art. 142 of the Civil Procedure Code.
