Summary/Abstract: Over time, different theories of migration have been developed that place the phenomenon in a coherent explanatory framework that leads us to both a complex sociological field and an economic one. The literature invokes a series of theories of migration classified according to numerous criteria. Given the timeliness of this global phenomenon, we consider it appropriate to conduct a brief analysis of migration theories. In this study, we aim to present the dual labour market theory, developed by M. Piore, as well as to make a correlation with the situation of Romanians on the Italian labor market.
