Summary/Abstract: The negative effects of abusive supervision on employees and organizations have been studied for a long time. It is also important to examine the role of the psychological state of the employees in the effect of abusive supervision on the intention to leave the job. The research aims to determine the mediating role of psychological safety in the effect of abusive supervision on employees' turnover intentions. Within the scope of the research, survey data were collected from 417 employees in Istanbul. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that psychological safety has a mediating role in the effect of abusive supervision perception on employees' intention to leave. According to the findings, abusive supervision significantly increases the intention to leave the job. Abusive supervision negatively affects the psychological safety of employees. In addition, the perception of psychological safety reduces the intention to leave the job. The research has discussed the harms of abusive supervision to the employees' psychological integrity and the firm's human capital. The research results are important in showing the negative effects of abusive supervision on employees.
