Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present fragments of the results of research into academic teachers’ experiences connected with didactic creative work. In the research, the author used theoretical and methodological approach of The Evolving Systems Approach to Creative Work by Howard E. Gruber. Analysis and interpretation of research material derived from: semistructured interwievs, content analysis of teachers’ publications, and analysis of photos from classes. The Interpretative Phenemenological Analysis – IPA has been applied to the analysis and interpretation of research results. One of the regularities exposed during the research is the usefulness of innovations in the process of teaching-learning proposed by examined teachers. Utility is the pragmatic value of creative solutions that gives the authors a sense of meaning in their own creative work, which, for them, is: valuable, unique, difficult but satisfying at the same time.
