Summary/Abstract: In this study we aimed to analyze the poetic representations of Chisinau in text in which individual cognition in the urban environment intersects the relational phenomenon of the construction of personal maps of the city and the defulation of urban experiences lived in different politico-historical periods by the character who emigrated and manages to return temporarily, after a long time, to live the drama of double time. In the novel "The Floating Line" by Serafim Saca is objectified the epic of retrieving a different kind of urban space in Chisinau, than that of memory both in the perspective of the Soviet period city replanning (60s-70s) and of social relations, a framework for interrogating the migrant who tries to discover his purpose in a changed, intensely mechanized Soviet city. The modernist narrative analytically captures the loss of individuality of some citizens who do not want to integrate into the crowd, the entropic society.
