Summary/Abstract: Stefan Zeletin’s sociological thinking worth to be observed in his works, including in his contributions on the theorizing of history. The reforming ideas of the philosopher for the Romanian education, especially the historical ones, are in agreement with the theories that he outlined in his work. We refer in this sense to the relationship between sociological theories and how to adapt them to the reform of historical education proposed by Zeletin. Sociological ideas will also leave their mark on the theory of history that emerges from the work of this interwar thinker. Such ideas will be the basis of some controversies at the time, and the most eloquent is the one with Gheorghe Brătianu. Through the proposed analysis we bring to attention, on the one hand, Brătianu's arguments against the vision regarding the theory of history in the work of Ștefan Zletin, and on the other hand, we bring into discussion the philosopher's contributions for the reform of historical education.
