Summary/Abstract: The stove has a very important place in our past. It warms us with its warmth and the appearance of the place we are in. Tile stoves, which are rare today, come to life with Sedat Bircan, who makes antique repairs in the Yeşil district of Bursa. The scope of the research consists of 15 tile stoves repaired in Sedat Bircan's workshop. In the study, the stoves determined by the scanning method were handled and a description was tried to be made. The fact that there are not many publications on tile stoves makes this study original. In the research, the definition of tile, general information about the tile stove, the repair stages of old and broken tile stoves and examples of 100-150 years old French and German tile stoves are included. In addition, the motif, color and composition features of the tile stoves photographed are explained. With this study, it is aimed to keep alive, protect and pass on to future generations the tile stoves, which are still used for nostalgic purposes, have an important value, have few examples and are about to disappear. With the research, it has been concluded that the tile stoves, which used to heat the rich houses in the past, have largely taken their place in the past together with the central heating and natural gas systems and are now mostly used for decoration purposes. Tile stoves, which are among our cultural heritage, will continue to exist thanks to Sedat Bircan, who pioneered the survival of this art, and other masters who set their hearts on this work.
