Summary/Abstract: The author makes a detailed analysis of all the candidates for Cluj-Napoca’s mayoralty, with emphasis on the winner’s evolution – Emil Boc – and on the strategy developed by his team, which was favored by others’ strategies. The conclusion sustained by gathered data shows that Boc’s victory should have been not a surprise, given that we faced a new kind of politician and a new kind of politics for the post-revolution age.
