IS THE INTERMEDIARY TO BRIBERY ALSO A INFLUENCE PEDDLER? STUDY CONCERNING THE LEGAL STATUTE OF THE INTERMEDIARY TO BRIBERY

Summary/Abstract: Is the Intermediary to Bribery also a Influence Peddler? Study Concerning the Legal Statute of the Intermediary to Bribery. Having as a starting point some relevant judgments of the Romanian judicial courts, the present study seeks to establish if the intermediary to bribery can also be considerrend an influence peddler. In order to reach a well-founded conclusion, the study first analyses the social value protected through the incrimination of influence peddling, proceeding subsequently to the punctual analyse of the norm’s objective elements. On the basis of several arguments, the study concludes that the intermediary to bribery cannot be a influence peddler as well.
