Testimony given by police officers in court practice

Summary/Abstract: The possibility of police officers being questioned as witnesses in criminal proceedings is a matter of practical importance. During the review of the judicial practice of the Supreme Court, various hypotheses were established in which the witness statements of the police authorities are admissible sources of procedurally relevant information. In the context of the issues under consideration, the relevant standards of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) are also examined.
