Origin of national intelligentsia of Egypt in the period of occupational mode (1882—1914)

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the partially studied problem of the educational policy of Great Britain in Egypt in the colonial period 1882—1914. The au-thor made an attempt to show the direct connection between the changes in the sphere of professional education and the process of Egyptian intelligent-sia’s origin. The factors promoting the growth of intelligentsia members and their participation in the nationalist movement in Egypt are mentioned
