Summary/Abstract: The concept of E-procurement has many different meanings ranging from shopping on the internet (through reverse auction) to collaborative initiatives taking place in virtual meetings. E-procurement encompasses a variety of forms and every Eprocurement form can be used in many ways. In this article we define the most important forms of Eprocurement. Next, we present the main advantages and main barriers of implementing an E-procurement form. Furthermore, a theoretical framework which shows the different types of impact that the E-procurement forms have on the organizations is presented. Finally, we elaborated for managers a list of critical success factors for the implementation of an E-procurement form.
