Summary/Abstract: The end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century is marked in the field of education by the personality of Spiru Haret who also organized private education in Romania alongside public education. Spiru Haret's name is linked to the appearance of school magazines, including the General Journal of Education. Through these magazines, Spiru Haret sounded the alarm about the organization of private education and its failures.
