Summary/Abstract: In the second half of the nineteenth century and at the beginning of the twentieth century, a hybrid empire with a compromised political organization between two powerful nations, the Hungarian and the Austrian, appears on the European map. The peoples who are part of this empire are trying one by one to demand their right to national identity in the spirit of the idea of a nation that is gaining momentum during this period.
