Summary/Abstract: This paper focuses on phrases of type Adj1 + de + Adj2 where Adj1 and Adj2 are colour denoting adjectives. The combination Adj1 + de + Adj2 is analyzed from the point of view of blocking and its adjectival or nominal role.
