Summary/Abstract: The presented issue of the Bulletin is being continued the yesteryear publication Rodina a práca 6/2009 devoted to research results of the migration flows in the cross border region between Austria and Slovakia. The object of these issue is devoted to specific phenomenon illegal work. High appearance of illegal work in society, the benevolent percepcion of illegal work by inhabitants or poor attention of combat the illegal work should have the negative impact on good cross border collaboration. At the beginning, author defines the term of illegal work within the frame of shadow economy and notices at regulations mentioned in Slovak legislation. In the next part of study, the results of special Eurobarometer about undeclared work in the European union are presented, especially the attitudes of people living in Slovakia and Austria to undeclared work. The most part of study is spent to outcomes of surveys (done at the turn of 2008 - 2009 year) about illegal work percepcion of people living in households (1500) and of personal clercs in enterprises (1744) within the Bratislava´s and Trnava´s region. At the end, it is point out the more benevolent access to the illegal work on the Austrian side (in the metropolitan city Vienna) than on the Slovakian side.
