Summary/Abstract: The issue of the current bulletin is focused on the evaluation of actual impact the new pension system from the side of elderly people. Author - using the results of research projects in 2007 - „Analyse of the minimal Old-Age Pension benefit possible implementation" and "Benefit Systems and their Interaction with Labour Market Policies in the new European Union Member States" - discusses the older slovakian people situation during the period of 2000 - 2006 in receiving the Old Age Pensions and participation in the labour market. It is written that the rising pensionable age causes also the higher elderly people employment participation. But the Slovakian Pension Reform doesn't solve the situation of people receiving pensions so far. This is affirmated by data - the share of Old Age Benefit (especially women older than 65 years without widow's allowances) which sum of benefit is below the subsistence minimum line is rising and also is mild rising the share of elderly receiving the Benefit in Material Need. Author recommends some measures to improve situation of elderly in this area.
