Summary/Abstract: In the last decade the international migration of health professionals has grown, increasing global labor crisis. In this context, the international recruitment of health personnel has become a common practice for many countries. To statuary principles of ethical recruitment, in 2010 the World Health Organization (WHO) adopted a code of practice on international recruitment of health personnel - The Global Code of Practice on the International Recruitment of Health Personnel. It was meant as a reference tool in establishing and improving the legal framework for international recruitment of health personnel, but has not defined the concept of ethical recruitment. This research is based on analysis of interviews to highlight the concept of ethical recruitment according to representatives of foreign companies attending the job fairs in Romania and Romanian doctors practicing abroad.
