Critical Perusals of Lev Karsavin's Social Philosophy

Summary/Abstract: The article examines the critical treatment (Berdyaev, Florovsky, Bicilly, etc.) of Lev Karsavin's social philosophy based on the so-called „metaphysic of panunity" as an „organic" form of philosophy, its attitudes of neglecting freedom, of strict domination of collectivism over individualism. The author analyzes the different arguments concerning the core of Karsavin's social views — the doctrine of the „symphonic person" which was meant to be a real antipersonalism.
