The Eurasianism of Lev Karsavin

Summary/Abstract: Although Lev Karsavin is not one of the founders of eurasianism, he becomes one of its greatest theoretician. In 1925 he already has his works published in the editions connected with this trend. In 1926 in Paris was founded seminar and he becomes his leader. Gradually he develops into the main figure, which becomes obvious in his polemic with N. Berdyaev. His ideas become significant fundament of the theoretical ground of eurasianism. His works are situated in the tradition of eurasianism, which means — in the horizon of the categories "personality-culture-state-regional development-orthodoxy".
