Accounting oriented to long-term projects management

Summary/Abstract: In recent years project management has become a dynamically growing discipline, whose primary characteristic is its interdisciplinary character. As a result, there is an urgent need to adjust existing management methods and techniques to processes being pursued in order to achieve the strategic goals of an organization. The accounting system is the main source of information in an enterprise. In companies engaged in project implementation such a system must ensure provision of a much larger amount of data and often its different presentation. What is necessary to achieve this objective is very strong integration of two areas of accounting: financial accounting and management accounting. It is therefore necessary to develop an accounting information system oriented to project management. This paper presents the role and tasks of such a system in companies impleznenting long - term projects.
