Incorporation of an integrated information system into teaching activities.

Summary/Abstract: This article describes a project involving establishment of a new, interdisciplinary course of study at the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz. A tool to be used in classes and workshops is an integrated information system IFS Applications. Preparation of a course based on interdisciplinary relationships of management, though by no means easy, is highly desirable because it answers the demand of not only students but, in the first place, of employers , who in view of growing competition seek in their potential employees not only specialist (e.g. accounting) expertise but also knowledge about an enterprise as a whole. The study program developed by a specially appointed team for the implementation of an integrated system IFS is designed to meet this demand and to provide foundations for future establishment of a new specialization within the management studies.
