Summary/Abstract: The study examines a very pronounced social phenomenon in the Republic of North Macedonia – Bulgarophobia and hate speech towards Bulgarians and Bulgaria. The main characteristics of Bulgarophobiain the context of contemporary Macedonian ethnocentrism and the process through which they were formed and manifested in the Republic of North Macedonia have been researched. Specific cases of Bulgarophobia in 2021 are presented and discussed.
