Didactic concepts of Professor Janusz Henzel

Summary/Abstract: In the article, scholar and didactic activities of Janusz Henzel, eminent Polish Russian language scholar, respected glottodidactic specialist, and excellent lecturer and organiser as well are discussed. For many years, Janusz Henzel was the head of Russian Philology Institute and administered the department of glottodidactics. Basing on scholar studies and personal memories of Janusz Henzel, his achievements in the field of literature and glottodidactics are shown and his reproductive-creative method applied in teaching Russian as a foreign language is desribed. The attention is paid as well to his interest in the field of psycholinguistics. His contribution to the development of the didactic academic staff of the Russian Philology Institute of Pedagogical University in Cracow is emphasised.
