Summary/Abstract: As generally known, nouns manifest certain variations in their plural forms in German language, as some may have a second or even a third plural form. In most cases, only one variant is classified as standard use, while the others can be used as regional colloquial alternatives. This paper attempts to outline nouns borrowed from other languages with special plural forms and to explain the meaning of various idioms in which they are inserted.
