Analysis of the level of innovativeness of Poland against the background of European Union countries

Summary/Abstract: Innovation is a particularly important issue in the case of developing economies. It has a significant impact on competitiveness and the level of economic development. The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of the level of innovation in European Union Member States in the year of Poland’s accession to the EU and in 2019. The study was conducted using the TOPSIS method with a common development model. The obtained results made it possible to assess the position of the Polish economy against the background of other surveyed countries in the context of innovation.
