Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the activities of the communist security apparatus, which led to the breaking of the intelligence network of the émigré intelligence center that operated in Poland between 1949–1952 and the arrest of Major Andrzej „Garda” Czaykowski. The author attempts to establish a direct link between Czaykowski and the intelligence center. The article also looks at the actions taken by the former head of the Offensive Counterintelligence Division of the Intelligence Department, Major Rudolf Plock, who in the latter stages of the investigation into Czaykowski’s cell identified his secret contact with London.
