Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the essence of the family Orthodox holiday. The festive family and household rituals of Ukrainians with its circular miseenscene and a ritual script is considered. The attention is focused on the worldview, socializing, axiological, ethical and aesthetic-educational functions of these components of the festive and ritual culture of our people.
