Summary/Abstract: The paper concerns Russian émigré philosophers in Czechoslovakia between two world wars and their professional attitude to Czech scientific milieu. In spite of short period of cooperation and different cultural starting points, both philosophical traditions were able to find certain common interests. It lied in the field of applied philosophical disciplines (such as philosophy of law, pedagogy, art etc.), in Russian and Czech cultural studies, theory of democracy. Numerous examples of cooperation with Czechoslovak institutions can be listed as well as participation of Russian and Czech thinkers on common projects. Many of them became involved in Czech philosophical tradition and, especially in 1930s, the number of Russian philosophers´ works printed in the Czech language was gradually increasing. However, this tendency could not culminate because of adverse historical circumstances.
