The myth of the East in literary works of Constantin Leontyev

Summary/Abstract: Belletristic works of Konstantin Leontiev constitute almost half of all his writings, but they did not become well known in public. Nevertheless, they were very ambitious; the author wanted to overcome the heritage of the natural school. The paper analyses the poetics of Leontiev’s so called “eastern cycle” and his contribution to constitution of “flourishing east” concept.
