Summary/Abstract: The author raises the question of preserving our cultural heritage. She emphasizes on the existing legislation in Bulgaria and the ways of interaction between the institutions, according to the Cultural Heritage Act. Indicates the opportunities provided by the Strategy for Development of the South East Europe Region through culture, cultural and natural heritage and related industries.Reviews the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the governments of the Republic of Bulgaria and the United States.
