Summary/Abstract: Today we regard innovation as a crucial element in creating competitive advantage. However, we also should remember that it is creativity that underlies innovation, and creativity means an ability to think productively and render the results into specific as well as new and original enterprises. The aim of this article is to identify the possibilities for the creative processes within organizations to be intensified, and showing them in a broader context as the grounds of innovation in present-day organizations. Creating creative organizations begins with creative individuals who are the source of growth in thinking, ideas and activity. The article deals with the issues and relations concerning innovation, creative process and creativity. Some techniques that can be used are presented, too, as regards creative thinking being considered as a tool for development of creativity and innovation as well.
