Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to characterize the contents of information on the activites of libraries appearing in the openly available, free internet portal of the Polish Press Agency, under the address http://www.pap.pl/. The selected materials underwent a content analysis method. The source base of the elaboration comprises only the free website of the PPA, which includes a simple search engine, due to which the selected publications (texts from between 2015–2017) were subject to detailed analysis. The thus selected group of texts was limited to publications wholly or mostly dedicated to the activities of libraries or promotion of readership. The selected publications were divided according to thematic groups and place of origin.
