Short Description
The journal "Annales Universitatis Cracoviensis. Studia ad Bibliothecarum Scientiam Pertinentia" (AUPC. SBSP) is devoted to the broadly understood media & social communication studies and the library & information science. The editors' main areas of interest are, in particular: issues of information science (theory and practice), information architecture (theoretical and design studies), book culture, the history of the press and the subject of the contexts of press and book (including literary life). Our journal is also open to media scholars. In accordance with the Polish tradition, we take an interdisciplinary view of the essence of the media, hence we also invite scholars whose research centers around mass communication seen from many perspectives (including cultural, social, political, legal, economic, technological and organisational) as well as scholars of media theory and history to cooperate with us.
The journal publishes original scholarly articles, reviews and discussions of scholarly publications, and reports on scholarly events related to the issues of social communication sciences and media. Articles are published in Polish or English.
We accept texts previously submitted to AUPC. SBSP, unpublished and not submitted for publication in other journals or collective monographs. All submitted articles are reviewed according to the principles of double-blind peer review. The main criteria for the evaluation of an article are the compatibility of the topic with the journal profile, the content value, the logical organisation and the linguistic form of the text.
