Challenges of the pandemic in the academic system

Summary/Abstract: The 2020 COVID-19 pandemic will remain in the history of humanity as a difficult moment, with terrible consequences for humanity. Although the idea of digitalization of the systems of education existed and was somehow known and debated, the pandemic abruptly accelerated its implementation, thus, in a relatively short period of time, the entire world was forced to accept the change and move to the on-line system, in order to protect their health and reduce interaction. There have been two problems which continuously have been analyzed with the purpose of finding the best solutions both for students, but also for the teachers. On the one hand, the problem of the on-line platforms, and on the other, the system of evaluation. Last but not least, we can talk about the psychological impact, the need for counseling, which the universities observed and offered to their students and academia.
