Configuration of social networks of librarians as a communication aspect of the formation of professional community

Summary/Abstract: The main trends in the development of modern society are largely determined by the evolution of information and communication technologies. Their active introduction not only changes the existing structures of society but also leads to the emergence of fundamentally new social phenomena. The global Internet network, whose users account for more than a third of the world's population, contributes to the transfer of human life into cyberspace, creating a special socio-cultural reality. It provides new unique opportunities for interaction and development among people. One of the modern forms of librarian associations is the network professional community. This form has become a reflection of the communicating situation in society. The transition to the transformation of new ways of constructing social reality linked to the processes of globalization radically changes the content and direction of libraries' interaction processes in modern society.
