Summary/Abstract: The text considers the role and influence of spin doctors on the processes of political decision making and on the media – watchdogs whose traditional mission is to ensure participation of the public in those processes by using objective, complete and unbiased information. To what extent is media content shaped under the influence of spin? Are journalists becoming or have they become victims of spin doctors whose number is rapidly increasing? What kind of implications do these tendencies have on the public sphere? This paper provides some of the possible answers.
