Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the didactics of teaching French as a foreign language (FLE) at university level. It aims to show the particularities of the course Written and Oral Communication Techniques in French (Techniques de Communication Orale et Écrite en français), where the use of authentic documents, either oral or written, can be a good support for developing not only language skills, but also a cultural openness to the civilization of the French language. The theoretical aspects highlight the research aspects of authentic documents, the practical tips for oral and written production activities. The article will highlight a practical demonstration from a seminar: the production of a summary starting from a press article.
