Summary/Abstract: The present study focuses on the most recent challenges faced by the professors of foreign languages, during the last twelve months, following the medical crisis caused by the COVID 19 pandemic. It approaches the most important aspects related to the synchronous and asynchronous methods of teaching in the on-line, highlighting the most important theories in the field of online teaching of foreign languages, with a main focus on the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, which determines young people to continue the acquisition of information in the on-line system. Last but not least, the article focuses on the way in which students have adapted to teaching languages in the on-line system, with the help of Microsoft Teams teaching platform, as well as Microsoft Forms evaluation platform.
