Summary/Abstract: Emotional intelligence skills are important for individual development and functioning. There are many tools to measure emotional intelligence for children from 6-8 years, teenagers and adults. But for the preschool child, there are practically no direct measurement tools. In this study we used two scales of the Children's Behavior Questionnaire (CBQ) to measure two facets of emotional intelligence. It is important that psychological practice supports children's education, creates the conditions of suitable and useful experiences for the development of emotional expression and management. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of emotional intelligence development workshops (intrapersonal - self-control, interpersonal - receptivity) in preschool children. The study participants (N=70) are preschool children aged between 4 and 6 years, 36 girls and 34 boys. The results show the positive impact of emotional intelligence development workshops on preschoolers.
