- Summary/Abstract: Studies in mental images and visuals, diagrams, graphics, drawings etc. form an undeniable part in cognitive science research. Film as a visual medium couldn’t be kept aside, aloof from scientific enquiry for too long. It is from that irresistible urge to include the fascinating visual medium that film had to be incorporated into the academic sphere of cognitive science. Considered to be a ‘cheap’ form of art and fated to be stuck in its infancy (as it was thought during the 1890s), film finally entered the arena of serious academics far from its original fate. Starting as a rather philosophical endeavor, the analysis of films went later into psychological approaches and nowadays film psychology has become a wide area of research. This paper explores the relation between understanding of visual media (films) and the notion of embodied theory of mind. The broad area, under which this falls, would be films and cognition. The perspective that is involved in this work is the phenomenological paradigm as laid down by Merleau-Ponty.

- Summary/Abstract: This research paper was carried out to investigate social media, pornography and cybersex: implications for moral development of young people in Nigeria. Four research questions were raised. Cultivation theory and social learning theory were the theoretical foundations of this study. The survey research method was adopted for this study with the questionnaire used as the major research instrument. Young Nigerians aged 18-35 years were selected as the population of the study. The researcher purposively chose four tertiary institutions in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The schools were: Akwa Ibom State University, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Heritage Polytechnic and Uyo City Polytechnic. The study had a population of 12,783 students with a sample size of 388. The paper concluded that the rise of social media and the accessibility of pornography and cybersex have significant implications for the moral development of young people in Nigeria. The normalization of explicit content through social media contributes to the desensitization of young people towards sexual content, promotes objectification of individuals, and distorts their understanding of healthy relationships.

The study dwells on the effect of artificial intelligence on SME Growth in Anambra State. A survey research design was adopted in the study. A population of 50 SME operators was randomly selected, which equally served as the sample size for the study. A structured questionnaire was the major instrument used for data collection in the study. Regression analysis was used to test the formulated hypotheses. The result revealed that the 21% change in the control variables BMD in SMEs is a result of the double effect of the artificial intelligence being experienced by the SMEs, this shows a positive and strong relationship between the variables and concludes that artificial intelligence has a significant influence on the business model design of SMEs in Anambra State. We recommended that SME operators need to adopt artificial intelligence as a working tool in their business operations because it increases efficiency, and effectiveness and reduces the cost of doing business which ultimately and positively affects productivity in the long run.

Journal of Communication and Behavioural Sciences (ISSN 2668-9650) is the successor of the Annals of Spiru Haret University. Journalism Studies (ISSN 1454-9492) which was active between 2000 and 2019, being published annually until 2011, and biannually from volume 12 onwards. The decision to change the title of the journal was made following the increasing requests that we received lately from our collaborators who were interested in publishing their studies in the field of Behavioural Sciences. At the same time, from the desire to narrow the research area of the topics of the articles in the journal, but also taking into account the new research trends at international level, we decided that the new title is more suited to the content that the journal hosts starting with 2020.
