Summary/Abstract: Wojciech Korfanty was a modern politician, leader and ideologist of national-democratic movement. He was also a commissioner, dictator of the Third Silesian Uprising, deputy of parliament, publicist, senator, deputy prime minister, prisoner in Brzesk and a political emigrant. He was a charismatic leader and moral authority. Nowadays, he is one of the Forgotten Fathers of Polish Independence.
