Determinants of Motivation to Work in the Polish Police Force

Summary/Abstract: Human resources are the strategic asset of every organisation. Therefore,the authors begin their considerations by showing the necessity of applying strategicthinking at every level of organisational management. The article discusses and dis-tinguishes between the following concepts: motivation and motivating employees. Theauthors present a comparative analysis of the results of research on the factors whichdetermine the willingness and effectiveness of Polish Police officers’ work. The studywas conducted among both management and executive staff of the Polish Police in theyears 2013–2016. Further research in the presented area has been scheduled for 2023.
