Summary/Abstract: The article deals with several manuscripts from the Olomouc chapter library and printed books from the former library of the Olomouc Jesuits. It deals with their origin and previous owners, and it examines the question of their possible connection with the royal library of Buda. Nevertheless, it views these books mainly through the lens of tegumentology, which has been overlooked by scholars so far. It then uses some of the bindings under study to document the influences that began to manifest themselves in Central European bookbinding studios thanks to bindings made for Matthias Corvinus and his successors.
