Summary/Abstract: The territory of the military training space Libavá is situated in the north-east of Olomouc and has been gradually formed since 1946. The military region with its area of 32 716 hectares gradually absorbed 24 villages, 19 of them completely disappeared. The remaining 5 localities were not spared of extensive urban changes which had huge impact on their appearance. Also many architecturally valuable buildings were demolished, in particular ecclesiastical ones (churches, chapels) and other small monuments of the former cultural countryside. Cemeteries were destroyed, too. Only fractional torso of the original 2 263 objects of the former settlement net (in 1930) have been preserved hidden under the thick vegetation.
