Summary/Abstract: The intersectoral management of cultural heritage is one of the challenges of the contemporary world, in which the importance of cultural heritage as a socially and economically relevant development resource is growing. Its co-management is becoming a necessity to ensure its preservation, and one of the forms of fulfilling this need is the activity of non-profit organisations. This article presents the results of a pilot study on the activity of public benefit organisations operating in Poland for the benefit of heritage objects, complexes and spaces. On the basis of the analysis of the reports of public benefit organisations for the years 2019, 2020, the author’s classification of the objectives of the activities of these organisations has been developed and groups and subgroups of their activities have been delineated. The relevance of the organisations in relation to abandoned and endangered heritage in particular was confirmed. Directions for desirable further research on the subject of the participation of non-profit organisations in the management of heritage spaces were identified.
