Why the cult of mother tongue? Father Jacek Woroniecki’s Message

Summary/Abstract: An important element of the Father Jacek Woroniecki’s system of personalistic culture is the cult of the mother tongue. Understood as conscious attention to the highest general educational value of the Polish language and granting it a central place in the education system. Only in this way can it contribute to the development of all mental powers, becoming a key factor in the deepening of mental culture. The universal dimension of Woroniecki’s approach consists in the fact that the cult of language understood in this way should become the center around which the entire culture of each nation should crystallize.
