Summary/Abstract: The proper understanding of religiosity plays an important role in Fr J. Woroniecki’s model of personalistic culture. The author points to the cultural threats resulting from the minimalist model of religiosity, based mainly on the emotional sphere. He indicates that only universal religiosity, based on the highest factors of human nature in the form of reason and will, can fulfill its proper role as a means to the ultimate goal of human existence. Only the kind of religiosity which he describes as sensus catholicus fully meets the needs of human nature, which is rational, free and social.
