Summary/Abstract: This article explores the impact of technological innovations, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence and blockchain technology, security, and operations in outer space. By examining mechanisms that increase operational efficiency and reduce costs, the article highlights how automated systems and emerging technologies are bringing significant changes to space threat management. A case study of the US Air Force X-37B Program serves as an illustrative example, highlighting the importance of spacecraft reusability but also interoperability with other space systems. The article concludes that adopting a multidisciplinary approach is essential to navigating the increased complexity and dynamism of the security environment on the ground as well as in the spaced dimension.
