Summary/Abstract: It is known that the Stock Exchange is one of the most important institutions of the capital market. The Stock Exchange represents the prototype of the perfect market, the place where those who offer capital (investors) meet those who demand capital (firms), where trades are made exclusively based on the supply and demand mechanism with a complete transparency of the price setting mechanism. I try here to present briefly the evolutions of the Stock Exchange Markets around Central and Eastern Europe and particularly in Romania.
